Mr. Brightside - The Ultimate Killers Experience Minneapolis Concert reviews
Good Show But Not Worth the Price
The show was overall good, but the display of costumes and props at the HP Pavilion was extremely unorganized, not worth the price for tickets. Awesome seeing the orchestra perform the live score, however, most of the time, the orchestra was not lit up so you were really just seeing the movie montage. We paid to see the orchestra, not the movies. The rest was movie clips and straining to see the orchestra perform in the dark. We were also expecting more to be done with lasers/lights to replicate the light saber fights in the movies and that did not happen either. They used the lasers a little to go with the tune of the music but not as a feature of the show. The props at the HP Pavilion were the worst. There were a ton of people trying to squeeze through a narrow walkway, some trying to see the props, others just trying to get to their seats or the concession stands. There were a ton of Mr. Brightside - The Ultimate Killers Experience adult fans that were stepping in front of or blocking the view for the little ones. Most parents had to have their kids on their shoulders to see because the adults were blocking the way. And there was no one controlling who was next or how long they could stay. Some grown geeky men were taking all kinds of pictures of themselves for a long time, again keeping the kids and parents waiting.
It was awesome hearing the music and seeing it performed live. It was really cool having the show narrated by C3PO live. However, I wouldn't pay to see a second time. If you pay to see it the first time, buy the cheap seats since there is nothing to see up close anyways. Having seen it once, I would've paid $20-$25 to see it, but we paid $55 for our cheap seats, and it was definitely not worth it. Oh, and our 5-year-old just watched the movie and not the orchestra, so he could've seen that at home for free.
